Unreal Technical Artist
Unreal Engine 5, MotionBuilder, Vicon Shogun (motion capture)
This role gave me my first Emmy! With Silver Spoon Animation, I was responsible for transforming Allegiant Stadium into an animated version of Bikini Bottom using augmented reality effects. I also worked as a motion capture technician, suiting up Tom Kenny (Spongebob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), and Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and transforming them real-time into their respective characters!
Director, Technical Artist, Interaction Designer, Researcher
Unreal Engine 5, Blender, FL Studio, Premiere Pro, Oculus Quest
I conceptualized, designed, and developed an immersive VR experience exploring culturally untranslatable sentiments—like kandoh and saudade—through interactive 3D environments. I led all aspects of the project, including user research, environment design in Unreal Engine, and original sound production. The experience combined personal storytelling, nature-inspired world-building, and emotional design principles to evoke introspection and emotional resonance in players, and marked a major milestone in my creative and technical growth.
Technical Artist & Motion Capture Technician
Unreal Engine 5, Autodesk Maya, Movella XSens
I contributed as a Technical Artist and XR Designer, focusing on AR effects, interactive elements, and world-building for the live holiday broadcast. I helped design and integrate festive AR visuals (slime cannons, animated characters, and holiday overlays) for a super fun augmented broadcast experience! I also supported motion capture workflows, translating real-time performer data into animated characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My work helped bring immersive, kid-friendly storytelling to life for millions of viewers tuning in on Christmas Day.
Technical Artist
Unreal Engine 5, Pixotope Engine, LED Wall
I contributed as a Technical Artist during my internship at Silver Spoon Animation. I was responsible for lighting, asset direction, and world-building in UE5, for this commercial we built on LED walls.
Niagara FX Artist
Unreal Engine 5, Niagara FX system
For the 2022 Wild Rift international tournament, I created real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara system for several champions' AR character selection moments. This marked the first time augmented reality was integrated into an esports draft phase, elevating the production quality and viewer immersion on a global stage. My primary focus was on animation-triggered VFX for character reveals, working closely with technical artists and producers to ensure the effects synced seamlessly with live gameplay elements. The example shown here highlights my Tryndamere animation FX, rendered live during the player selection broadcast.
Technical Artist, Motion Capture Technician, Music Producer
Unreal Engine 5, Optitrack (motion capture), Premiere Pro
One of the first courses I took at NYU was Motion Capture with Matthew Rader, and I knew I wanted to create something completely out-of-this-world. I’d never seen aliens working out before, so I decided to change that. This project let me blend three of my biggest passions: music, comedy, and fitness. I also used it as a chance to produce a music video for one of my own tracks—a future funk remix of Junko Ohashi’s 1984 hit “Telephone Number.” Seeing how much joy and laughter it brought to people has been the most rewarding part, and I hope it makes you smile too. :)
